Been playing a few rounds of Special Forces to get a few Vet badges, I was playing the Assault kit and got the Vet assault badge
When there was about 20 tickets left, the enemy only had their uncap left, so i thought i would throw my flashbangs (out of harms way) to get my tactical support weaponary count up.
The commander had dropped a supply crate nearby so i just carried on throwing flashbangs
Then the accusations of stat padding started, i though SHIT perhaps they are right, then stopped
LOL, some people in here would go either way on this one. Personally on SF I used to spam 'grapple hook' and 'zip line' whilst running around the map basically the same thing, not points gained just clcocking up the 'uses'.
Seriously doubt it, i've seen many players do this including EAF members without consiquences, i knw your a fair player and a good admin so i wouldn't think you were statspadding xxxx
I'm sure it's either a choice of base raping the most minor of padding offences or sitting idle.
Personally, I would have done something worth while for my stats instead of waiting around for the round to end. But people have different views, I suppose.
technically, sitting idle is also padding, you are padding out your time in game and making no contribution to the effort, its the same as the support weaponry if u no what i mean, both contribute to your stats and badges so really, its a lose lose situation

not padding mate, i seriously wouldn't care. when i first got BF2 and i was a total noob i discovered the gas grenade launcher... me and frenchy went mad with it just grenading everyone (including teamates) cuzz it was so funny watching them run about blinded then all of a sudden a badge popped up.... tactical weapons whatever, i was like 'result' so no, fuck it, go throw some more flashbangs into the sea
btw i think french and i launched something like 80 gas grenades in the one round
I wouldn't worry. I spammed the grapples to expert, but they're so handy I use them rather than ladders a lot of the time. Like Phal, I got 100+ gas grenades in a round, but at least I was attacking noob spawn rapers on my own team, and I was resupplying myself, so no points.
I still sleep soundly at night. Arguing on the internet is like the paralympics - even if you win you're still retarded.
I Say its not padding before its more than you doing it, you usually need more than 2 people to pad. Eg. one person getting himself whipperd by his mates pistol many times over, or a whole bunch of people on a K&P server. Throwing flashbangs in random places is not padding imo. just waste them before you go rambo with the F2000.
Once, a friend of mine wanted a ribbon in 2142, where one of the requirments was 10 roadkills in a round. 10 roadkills aint always easy, he managed 9 one round earlier, but had a really crappy KD ratio. So he asked for help.
I made a squad, invited lots of random people, told them to follow me across the road, and bam, 4 roadkills for him. then he got the rest the hard way.
Statspadding? For a ribbon woth only 20 points and getting killed more than you kill, I say no. At least that's not the way to statspad proplery.
